Good place to go on weekends to avoid the crowds at other beaches. Go early to claim the natural shady spots; otherwise bring umbrellas.

Playa Sucia at the southwest point of Cabo Rojo is a stunning beach with dramatic cliffs, a lighthouse, and crystal-clear waters. Unfortunately the local authorities have closed the road to the beach, resulting in an approximately 2-mile hike to the beach from the nearest parking lot.
